Liquid Plant Food

mpf-label-tipped-hat.pngThe science behind Monty's Liquid Plant Food began over 25 years ago as champion gardener Monty Justice was looking for something to give him an advantage in competitions.  What he discovered has become the secret to gardening success across the nation.  Whether you are looking to increase flower and vegetable production in your garden or just looking for a more vibrant landscape, Monty's Liquid Plant Foods offers the value you need with the nutrients your plant demands.

Indoor/Outdoor Balanced Formula Indoor/Outdoor Balanced Plant Food 4-15-12

For all plants, the season begins with Monty’s Indoor/Outdoor Balanced 4-15-12.
This is the ideal product to use when seeding or transplanting to give the nutrients
plants need for rapid germination and early establishment.  It also helps prevent transplant shock.

Indoor/Outdoor Balanced 4-15-12 plant food — which has a relatively low nitrogen content
and therefore will moderate top growth — is specially formulated for the specific needs of
indoor plants.

This formulation also promotes early root vigor and assists in developing early resistance
in all plants and vegetables.

4-15-12 may also be used as a broad-use liquid seed starter for quicker germination.
It increases root surface and early absorption of critical nutrients and provides early vigor
in germinating seeds and seedlings.

Use in the Fall as a bulb and root dip! If you are planting fall bulbs, plants or vegetables,
dip them in a dilution of 4-15-12 prior to planting.  This one step can minimize transplant shock.
Also for use on:Indoor plants (including African violets, roses, and other flowers), tomatoes and other vegetables, shrubs and trees.

Growth Formula Growth Formula 8 16 8

Monty's Growth Formula 8-16-8 is a broad-use plant food which promotes new growth,
root and top growth, and larger foliage. Promotes vigorous new growth and green leaf color
after plant emerges from the soil.  Also promotes root development, stronger stems and branches
and larger leaves.

Use this formulation to:

  • increase plant growth after seed germination
  • promote leaf enhancement
  • promote stronger and taller plants

Use on Roses, orchids and other flowers, tomatoes and other vegetables, shrubs, and trees.

Root and Bloom Root_Bloom 2-15-15

Monty's Root and Bloom 2-15-15 is a bloom and yield enhancer that provides root and bloom
nutrients, promotes bloom development, and increases plant yield. It was specifically
formulated to provide the nutrients needed to increase the number and vibrancy of blooms
on flowering plants, and increase the yield of vegetable plants.

Use this formulation to promote root and bloom development, when transplanting,
and to increase plant yield while reducing plant stress. May also be used as a plant starter.
In the flower or vegetable garden, use as soon as plants set blooms. This plant food is also
terrific for winterizing roses, perennials, trees and shrubs.

Increases flower, fruit and vegetable yield. Use as soon as plant blooms to stimulate abundant
bloom production and to reduce plant stress. Improves plant hardiness, builds resistance to
disease and helps winterize plants.

Calcium Plus

Monty’s Calcium Plus delivers the benefits of calcium in a convenient, easy-to-apply liquid. calcium-plus-32.jpg

For years, gardeners and landscape professionals have seen the benefits of applying lime as a source
of calcium, but it has always been back-breaking, dirty work and it took time for nature to break down
the lime into useable components.

Now, with Monty's chelated formula, those benefits are as easy to achieve as watering your garden.

Calcium has been shown to aid in developing improved cell function and strength. Other benefits of calcium include:

  • Assists with nitrogen utilization
  • Helps improve bloom color and longevity
  • Can improve cell structure

Calcium Plus is for use on soil, in gardens, flower beds, and potted plants.

Calcium Deficiency

Symptoms of calcium deficiency include blossom end rot, young leaves dying around the edges, leaf curling,
and dead buds and root tips. New growth is affected first, but older leaves can be affected if the deficiency isn't corrected.

Calcium deficiency affects tissues of the plant where growth occurs. The tips of the roots and the shoots die first.
If calcium is not added, the stem will begin to die, followed by the entire plant.

Guaranteed Analysis:

Calcium (Ca) .... 1%
1% Chelated Calcium (Ca) derived from Calcium EDTA

How to Use:

Apply directly to soil using hand sprayer, tank sprayer, hose end applicator, watering can, or irrigation.  When applied according to directions, one 32-ounce bottle should cover 1/2 acre of bare soil. Calcium Plus can also be mixed with other Monty's liquid plant foods and applied directly to the foliage of a plant.

For a hose-end applicator pour contents directly into the reservoir bottle of applicator and adjust dial rate on applicator to 2 tablespoons.  Apply until ground is evenly moist, or spray foliage until it appears there has been a light dew or mist on the leaves. Unused product can be poured back into Monty's Calcium Plus bottle.

For tank or hand sprayers and watering cans, dilute 3 to 4 ounces of Calcium Plus per gallon of water.  Apply until ground is evenly moist, or spray/sprinkle foliage until it appears there has been a light dew or mist on the leaves.
